The countries most threatened by climate disasters in 30 years

The risk analysis company XDI has unveiled its global ranking of the regions of the world whose buildings are most threatened by climate disasters. The Chinese provinces occupy almost all of the top hundred places in the ranking, followed by the United States.

This XDI  report reveals the constructions that will be most at risk in the world over the next 30 years. This ranking on the threats to homes, businesses, businesses and constructions in general, is published to large investors to make them be aware of the risks to their projects by 2050. Considering that the Planet will warm up by an average of 3 °C by the end of the century, according to the most aggravating scenario of the IPCC, XDI has taken into account the risks of flooding, rising water, drought, forest fires, heat waves, storms, cyclones or frost.

Nine of the ten most threatened regions in the world are in China.

Among the most striking results, we can mention:
China, whose provinces occupy the top 9 places in the world ranking: Jiangsu, Shandong, Hebei, Guangdong, Henan...

The United States, with Florida in 10th place, California 19th, Texas 20th, Louisiana 35th, New York 46th, Illinois 53rd, Pennsylvania 55th;
Pakistan, with Punjab in the 18th;
India with Bihar 22nd;
Indonesia with Jawa Tmur 23rd;
Brazil with Sao Paulo 33rd;
Argentina with Buenos Aires 40th;
Japan with Aichi 43rd;
Egypt with Al Buhayrah 58th;
Belgium with Vlaanderen 64th.

As it is shown above, three American states are in the top 20 threatened regions. 114 of the top 200 regions in the ranking are in Asia, mainly due to a "risk of devastating flooding and global rising waters," says the XDI synthesis. China has no less than 26 regions out of the top 50 in the ranking, largely because of the threat of typhoons and floods.
