Translate this page:   The following is a review of "The Prodigy Slave, Book One: Journey to Winter Garden" by Londyn Skye,  by Ghislaine Gilbert Book Cover: 4 out of 4 stars   The Prodigy Slave romance novel is the creation of an amazing, inspirational, imaginative and keen minded author, Londyn Skye, who shares with us her fantasy world about two lovers, Lily and James. Through her splendid imaginative mind, the author took us into a heartfelt story between two youngsters of different social backgrounds. Lily was a born slave sold by her own father at the age of 9 to another slave owner named Jesse Adams. That sale occurred in the state of Virginia where the slave owner little Lily's own father harshly pulled her, as crudely described by the author, from her mother’s arms, on that plantation where Maya delivered her. The plea of the mother to keep her daughter was beyond words. But Lily was put up on the aucti...

Haiti has one of the lowest death rates from COVID-19 in the world.  As of the end of April, only 254 deaths were attributed to COVID-19 in Haiti over the course of the entire pandemic. The Caribbean nation, which often struggles with infectious diseases, has a COVID-19 death rate of just 22 per million. In the U.S. the COVID-19 death rate is 1,800 per million, and in parts of Europe. the fatality rate is approaching 3,000 deaths per million. Haiti's success is not due to some innovative intervention against the virus. Most people have given up wearing masks in public. Buses and markets are crowded. And Haiti hasn't yet administered a single COVID-19 vaccine. Dr. Jean "Bill" Pape says a combination of factors have kept the death rate so low. Pape played a role similar to Dr. Anthony Fauci's in the U.S. The 74-year-old Haitian doctor served as the co-chair of a national commission in Haiti to deal with COVID-19, leading the country's effort to deal with the cri...

Yon rale sou sa yo rele Manyòk

Manyòk Yo kontinye ap di oubyen repete ke "mwatye oubyen 50% nan popilasyon Ayisyèn" nan pa byen nouri. LONI Manyòk (Manihot esculenta) se yon espès plant dikotiledon nan fanmi Euphorbiaceae, natif natal nan Amerik Santral ak Amerik di Sid, patikilyèman nan basen sidwès Amazon an[2],[3]. Li se yon ti pyebwa perèn ki lajman kiltive kòm yon plant anyèl nan rejyon twopikal ak subtropikal pou rasin tubereuz li yo ki gen lanmidon. Tèm "maniok" la refere tou a plant lan li menm ak, pa metonimi, rasin li oswa lanmidon yo ekstrè ladan l. Jeneralman, moun konsome rasin li yo, ki rich an idrat kabòn e ki pa gen gluten, menm jan ak fèy li yo ann Afrik, ann Azi ak nan nò Brezil (pou fè maniçoba). Nan nò ak nòdès Brezil, mo "farin" nan (an pòtigè farinha) prensipalman refere a farin manyòk, pa farin ble. Farin sa a pa sanble vrèman ak farin ble: li plis sanble ak yon semoul sèk plis oubyen mwens koryas, koulè li varye ant jòn klere, gri ak blan. Anfèt, se yon lanmido...
